Mitt Romney gets Santorumed - or when search algorythms ATTACK!
Ahh google:
romney (rom-ney) v.
1. To defecate in terror.
See also: santorum
is number 3 in the search rankings. Dang those silly kids! Poor Mitt is getting the same treatment as Santorum (http://spreadingsantorum.com/) by the godless search algorithms. So why that definition? Remember when Mitt Romney made is dog ride in a box strapped to the top of his car for 12 hours? And it crapped itself ?
During the trip, the Boston Globe reported, Romney’s oldest son, Tagg, looked around through the rear window and yelled, “Dad — gross!” A brown liquid was dripping down the back window — diarrhea from an animal that just might have been caused by the stress of being inside a cage for 12 hours on top of a car going 60 mph.
And what did Romney do, even after knowing of the dog's diarrhea? Did he realize that perhaps Seamus should be shown some mercy, cleaned up and allowed in the car, to sleep on someone’s lap?
No.
Here’s how the Globe described what Romney then did:
“As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.”
Pretty funny -- especially since posting this also increases the search ranking for that term har har har. Ain't the internets wonderful?
RIP: Fallout 3 Genius Adam Adamowicz
Geek Land lost a good one today with Adam Adamowicz running his life meter too low. It's funny I was just playing Fallout New Vegas (America's First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation) and appreciating the visuals -- He was responsible for the art in the Fallout 3 and Skyrim series of games by Bethesda. If you've never seen or played Fallout 3 you should really give it a look, even just to wander around looking at the buildings, critters and objects Adam came up with. It's like social evolution kind of got stuck in the 50's -- so everything pre-war has that look.
Yet somehow they also developed robots. laser pistols and then there all the mutants. So we lost a good one with Adam --
Read a great tribute to the man at Awesome Robot
Have fun in the afterlife Adam
RIP old computer .. + geek ramblings
Recently I retired my venerable old xp system. I'd done yoman's duty having gone through at least three motherboards, 2 processors, various graphics cards and hard drives.. power supplies. It's been a great computer. It's a bit sad really, considering I've only bought one single new PC in my entire life. Back in the day I got a win 3.11 system with an Intel DX33 with 4 megs of ram and some pathetic hard drive I can't recall but it cost like 1200 bucks with a monitor.
